Local Legends is Strava’s way to reward dedication. Become the Local Legend for a segment by traveling it more times than anyone else in a rolling 90 day window and you’ll earn a Laurel crown icon next to the Segment name on the histogram leaderboards and the details page for that segment. (Only efforts visible to “Everyone” count towards Local Legends; see the Strava privacy settings page for more information.) Unlike other achievements, you can only achieve Local Legend status for a single segment at a time.
There are a number of special Local Legend enemies in the game, most of which were first introduced in Fontaine and continue to be available in Liyue and Natlan. Local Legends are enhanced versions of Common or Elite Enemies that have improved stats and can use new attacks, as well as granting significant amounts of Mora, experience, and if applicable, Character and Weapon Enhancement Materials over their normal variants.
Each Local Legend has two additional achievements that can be earned if the player defeats the enemy twice within a short period of time. Defeating the Local Legend for the first time awards the achievement Duelist: Series I and the other achievements are awarded when the player defeats the enemy for the second time.
The Jersey Devil is a legendary creature that inhabits the Pine Barrens of New Jersey. It is described as a bipedal kangaroo-like or wyvern-like creature with horns, leathery bat-like wings, and hooves. It is said to move quickly and emit a high-pitched blood-curdling scream. It can be fought in the game by approaching the Nightsoul Totem that is located on the plateau east of the Ancestral Temple and near the pond south of Goldflame Qucusaur Tyrant.
